Our Research Lab

The Climate and Energy Informatics Lab at the University of Birmingham, based in the Department of Electronic, Electrical and Systems Engineering, focuses on advancing research in energy systems and their integration with cutting-edge technologies. Our work spans a wide range of topics, including smart grids, energy market dynamics, low-voltage (LV) distribution networks, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in energy systems. By combining expertise in engineering, data science, and energy informatics, our lab aims to tackle pressing challenges in sustainable energy development, improve system resilience, and support the transition toward low-carbon and efficient energy solutions.
